Despite 19% fewer Geist waterfront homes selling, we still saw a 17% increase in the average sales from 2008 vs. 2007. This number was inevitably help out a little because the highest priced home sold in 2008 on Geist was $2,000,000 compared to 1.375M in 2007. This one sale alone raises the average more than 35K per home sold in 2008. However, even considering this home the average sales price in 2008 is still above the 2007 averages for waterfront homes sold on Geist. The average days on the market almost doubled in 2008 compared to 2007.
