It seems like everyone is talking about the fact that Fishers was named the #8 best place to live by CNN Money. What I dont hear as much about is that Carmel is just a few spots back at #14. That is 2 spots in the top 15 for Hamilton County and that is very impressive! It is no wonder everybody want to live in Hamilton County! Great schools, great sense of community, and almost no crime are just a few of the reasons Carmel finds itself in the #14 spot. In addition, although the housing prices in Carmel are, locally, on the more expensive side, nationally, the home prices in Carmel are ridiculously affordable. Everyone locally already know Carmel is a very desirable place to live but it is nice to see it continually get national recognition. Oh yeah, that also help keep the demand high and prices up for real estate:) Congrats to Carmel

The CNN article has some good stats about the city of Carmel in general so I thought I would post a few more details about Carmel Indiana real estate:

- There are currently 853 homes on the market in Carmel- The average asking price is $461,115- 634 homes have sold since 1/1/2010- Average selling price in 2010 is $326,323- Average selling price to listing price is 96%- There are 143 homes in Carmel that are pendingSearch Carmel real estateCarmel Indiana foreclosuresCarmel Indiana short sales
